At the Table: Conversations on the Future of College Athletics

I had the incredible opportunity to attend a panel on behalf of Mizzou Athletics featuring Greg Sankey, Commissioner of the Southeastern Conference, where discussions centered around NIL, the future of college athletics, and the evolving landscape of sports.

As someone who has experienced college athletics from multiple perspectives, as a student athlete, professional athlete, and now working within NIL, it was incredibly valuable to hear conversations surrounding the direction the industry is headed and the responsibilities that come with shaping it well.

The panel explored topics ranging from athlete opportunity and leadership to the long term sustainability of college sports and how institutions can continue supporting student athletes in meaningful ways both during and after competition.

Experiences like this continue to remind me how important it is to stay engaged in conversations that are actively shaping the future of athletics. I am grateful to have represented Mizzou Athletics in a room filled with leaders, decision makers, and individuals committed to the continued growth of student athletes and collegiate sports.
