Interview with KMOU
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with KMOU and speak with Jeffrey Calhoun about someone who has made a huge impact on my life both on and off the court, Naomi Franco.
Some people are coaches. Some people are mentors. Some people are leaders. Naomi somehow manages to be all three while also being an incredible friend.
Throughout the interview, we talked about the impact she has had on the athletes around her, the leadership she brings into every space, and the way she continuously pours into others with authenticity, care, and passion. As a former athlete, you quickly realize the people who truly shape your experience are not always the loudest people in the room, they are the ones who consistently believe in you, challenge you, and help you grow.
That is exactly who Naomi is.
It was incredibly special getting the opportunity to publicly speak about someone who has meant so much to me throughout my journey. Coaches and mentors often spend so much time uplifting others that they rarely get recognized for the impact they make behind the scenes.
I am grateful to KMOU and Jeffrey Calhoun for creating space for conversations like this, and even more grateful for leaders like Naomi Franco who continue to change lives through sports, mentorship, and genuine care for the people around them.
