Mizzou/WIN - National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) Clinic and Panel Discussion

I always love returning to Mizzou but this time it was specials. I helped lead and facilitate the National Girls and Women In Sports Day Youth Clinic at the Hearnes Center in partnership with WIN for Columbia. This event truly combined some of the things most important to me.

I led and moderated a panel discussion with University of Missouri student athletes. I was also able to share some about my personal journey as a Division I and professional athlete and discussed opportunities through the Miss America Organization.

I was also able to coordinate and promote a fundraising raffle which helped raise finds and support for Go Red for Women and the Miss America Scholarship Foundation. I was able to advocate for youth engagement and access to supports.

All of this happened while getting to watch young women and girls interact in a community that supports their drive and love for sports. I loved getting to see them come out of their shells over the clinic and start connecting with each other and the Mizzou Student Athletes.
