CYBA Youth Basketball Tournament at the Columbia Sports Fieldhouse

I had the opportunity to greet families and attend a co-ed youth basketball tournament hosted by Columbia Youth Basketball Association (CYBA) at the Columbia Sports Fieldhouse. It was a great morning spent connecting with athletes, parents, coaches, and community members who are all invested in youth sports.

I was grateful for the chance to speak with families about their experiences, learn more about the local basketball community, and share my work centered on confidence, mentorship, and access for young athletes. Conversations like these are always a reminder of how important community spaces and programs are for kids to grow, compete, and build confidence.

After greeting families and spending time courtside, I enjoyed watching the games and seeing the energy, effort, and teamwork on display. Events like this highlight the positive role youth sports play in bringing people together and creating meaningful opportunities for kids across our community.
