The Aja Wilson Foundation: MV4 Experience
I had the opportunity to volunteer with the A'ja Wilson Foundation at the MV4 Experience in Greenville, and it was one of those experiences that reminds you why this work matters so deeply.
Throughout the event, young women participated in conversations and activities centered around confidence, financial literacy, leadership, and personal growth. They were challenged to step outside of their comfort zones, find their voices, and begin seeing themselves differently.
What stood out most to me was that although they were not actively competing in sports at that moment, they were still developing everything sports are meant to give us.
Too often, people think the value of sports only exists within competition, wins, or performance. But some of the most important lessons happen far beyond the scoreboard. They happen in moments where young girls learn to believe in themselves, speak up, support one another, and realize they are capable of more than they imagined.
That is why initiatives like this matter.
Meeting girls where they are and helping them grow into who they can become is powerful work. It is the foundation of leadership, and it is exactly why I care so deeply about continuing to create intentional spaces for young women through Play Her Potential.
I left Greenville feeling incredibly grateful, inspired, and hopeful for the next generation of young women stepping into their confidence and potential.
